StorageTek Offers Highly Scalable SL500 Tape Library

Now you can seamlessly use multiple drives and tape cartridges.
StorageTek SL500 library offers highest reliability and superior scalability in its library class. The quantity of LTO cartridge slots has been increased to 575. You can install 30 to 575 LTO-5 and LTO4 tapes, which will provide maximum recording capacity of 862 TB (native). The capacity of SL500 tape library is almost 40% higher than the competing tape libraries. Up to 18 LTO drives can be integrated in StorageTek library, which boosts the native storage performance to 9 TB per hour.
